Amelia Island is the northernmost barrier island on Florida's Atlantic Coast.  It is a resort island that is roughly 25 square miles in area, so driving anywhere on-island is usually a 15-20 minute trip.

The town of Yulee is between Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island and I-95, and is only about a fifteen-minute drive from the Fernandina Beach Airport.

Most of the Bed & Breakfasts are in the historic Downtown area of Fernandina Beach, but the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge is on the ocean.
